AISI 303 austenitic stainless steel

AISI 303 is an austenitic, stainless 18/10 Cr-Ni steel alloyed with sulfur to improve machining performance (free-cutting steel). Therefore the 1.4305 is the reference grade among the cutting materials. The corrosion resistance is reduced by the high sulfur content of the stainless steel 303 and corresponds approximately to the material 1.4016.
